Rules of Padel

Padel is normally played as doubles. Scoring follows tennis, but the enclosed court and glass walls create longer rallies and new ways to keep the ball in play.

  • Serve underarm after bouncing the ball behind the service line

  • The serve travels diagonally into the opposite service box

  • The ball may bounce once on your side before being returned

  • After the bounce, the ball can rebound from the glass and remain in play

  • A point is lost if the ball bounces twice, is hit into the net, hits the glass or cage without bouncing first
